We are during a time of resolutions and fresh start. Many are seeking that perfect relationship and as a result may be tired and frustrated. The holidays are winding down and soon Valentine’s Day will be upon us. If you are single, you may be wondering if you will ever find your true love. I know this feeling only too well. I spent countless years alone searching for the right person to share my life with.
On June 16, 2018 I married my life partner, soul mate, and love of my life. It was only after sitting down and writing a Desire Statement on January 19, 2016. Three prior ones written between January 2014 and the date of the last one failed for one reason or another. They were the framework of the one I share with you.
It took a little time, but once I was clear in my head what I wanted, the Universe was able to provide it. I want to give you hope that it is possible. That my sharing my personal statement will give you the confidence to try it. Do not be afraid to rewrite it. You are changing over time; your growth will change what you want. It is also possible that you see that it is all about you and not how you interact with this person. Earlier version of my statement had a lot about what this person looked like (height, build, age, hair color, eye color, their sense of style). My last version only had: He will have a twinkle in his eyes and his smile will melt my heart.
Put as much detail in as you can think, but do not be too specific. Define how the relationship feels and functions without putting too much emphasis on who that person is. It may take several tries and revisions. This was my fourth one and the one I committed to. It is everything that I need and want in a relationship. Leave room for you and your partner to grow together.
What follows is what I did. You may have different criteria and statements. Earlier versions were not open, full of too much detail on things that did not matter. When it came down to it, I needed to decide on how I wanted to feel with this person the framework of how we would be together. Keep that in mind when writing your own statement.
I first shared this with my husband in January of 2018 after we had decided to marry. The funny thing was I had forgotten about it and came across it as I was going through some papers. What was amazing was that it described our relationship perfectly. Still does, well except we now have two cats.
I hand wrote the original statement and signed and dated it. I do not have the previous ones once I committed to a new one. I took the prior ones and burned them with the intention to release that version as it no longer served me. This is the power of intention. I hope this helps you find your soul mate, life partner or love of your life.
A good friend once said unless you define it the Universe cannot give it to you. This is the framework to create your own. Have faith, it will not come the moment you put it out there, but in time you may just be surprised. I know I was.
My Ideal Life Partner – Desire Statement
My ideal life partner is a man who values his family and welcomes me as part of it immediately. He is successful but that success is defined by him alone. He recognizes that success has nothing to do with financial means, and everything to do with who you are as a human being. He is accepting of my struggles and sees me for who I have become, not what I have not achieved. He is proud of how I have developed and respects me for it.
He is funny and makes me laugh, with a wicked sense of humor. That sense of humor will get us through any rough moments we may face. I can make him laugh, and we can be silly together. He is stable, he has known heartbreak. The past for both of us is just that.
Compassion and Empathy are how we will work though any issues we face together. Love and forgiveness are the foundation of our relationship. We both will feel safe and secure with each other. I will genuinely love this man unconditionally because that is how he loves me.
This man is not afraid of my psychic abilities, he embraces them as part of who I am. We will be well matched in our spirituality. My life partner will respect the time I need alone to continue to be the greatest support for him as I will do that for him. He is protective of me and only wants the best for me. We will make any important decisions together.
He is loved and respected in the community. He has incredible integrity. He is patient, confident and self-assured. He loves what he does professionally and will be surround by many wonderful and loving people. He will love those that love me as I will love those that surround him.
The two of us will build a life together and that will include our children. There is a dog or a cat in our family. Our children will be happy about our union. We will be blessed, and we will savor every moment of it, for we have known what it is to not have it.
We will be incredibly attentive to what we each needs romantically. We would like to touch, hold hands and kiss, but know there is a time and place for it. We will be content with one another. He will have a twinkle in his eyes and his smile will melt my heart. Just being together we will have moments that we take each other’s breath away.
Together, we will be able to share not only the light but the dark of who we are. We will bring the best out of each other. Together we will grow and become better professionals, parents, and friends to those in our lives. Our lives will not be perfect, but joy will surround us each day.
This man believes in me and my dreams. We will feel deeply loved and cherished in this relationship. Neither of us will ever feel unappreciated. My life partner and I connect spiritually, and we have become best friends.
I am in the right place at the right time to commit completely to my life partner. My soulmate, my life partner is ready to take that leap of faith with me. I trust the Universe to bring us together and surround us with love and light. My spirit and soul are ready to join with my life partner.
