"I Sense A Disturbance In the Force"

by Connie Wake & Susan Fiandach

Obi-Wan was tuned into the Universe and knew something was up.

And so did we. ”We” meaning everybody and “we” meaning the psychic-medium community.

For several weeks, if not months, before COVID-19 hit the world, there were several and repeating accounts of the “we” everyday-people noting disturbances in their lives:

· Lack of sleep

· Waking up at the same time in the wee hours of the morning

· A sense of anxiety…from something uncomfortable to something dreadful

· A sense of “hey, for some reason, I’m feeling…”

As for the psychic-mediums in our shop, and very likely the community of, we now realize a common theme that was showing up in our daily conversations, as well as in sessions over the last several months. Multiple readings repeated a similar “there is a pause in the spring” or “after a lull early in the year, you may see…” and “something big is happening” kinds of things.

While this is a “looking back” observation, and some psychic-mediums may claim prophesy, this isn’t the point. All types of people, of all types of beliefs, were picking up “something” that was disturbing their “normal.”

This reinforces a basic understanding that we have: We are part of a grand ocean of Consciousness, connected and aware of the information within. We intuitively receive that information in our waking and dream states, and we consciously or subconsciously incorporate this information in our daily lives.

If nothing else from this grand universal experiment of a world pandemic, we can come to an understanding that we’ve been shown our intuitive nature and more importantly, we can trust it. But just like Sgt. Joe Friday insisting on “just the facts, ma’am” we must be as diligent to separate emotion and drama from the essence of the intuitive information being received.

As an example, intuitively, we can sense “stay off the main highway today” which basically says “just take another route” without going into an emotional spiral of “I’m going to die in a flaming car crash, I must never drive again!”

We can each reflect on the past several months and realize the cues and clues that may have been felt and received. After acknowledging the “disturbance in the Force,” we can ask ourselves, “What am I feeling beyond my emotional biases, my fears” and what are “just the facts?” Our ability to think and access is our empowerment to a better self, a better experience, and a better outcome is our greatest power. Our ability to be stronger than the chaos and to think it through can provide the means to reduce stress, anxiety, anger and negative-reaction rabbit hole.

And the good news is we don’t have to be psychic-mediums, Zen meditators or devout religious disciples. While meditation, prayer and spiritual practices provide great benefits to our mind and spirit, we can also simply choose a positive thought, feeling, action at any moment. Based on this awareness of the power of our true nature and the intuitive interconnectedness of us all, we can release fear and worry and choose differently and purposefully thoughts to a more beneficial experience. Wayne Dyer: “Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change.”

“Trust the Force…”

Rumi states: “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.” Acknowledge our intuitive nature, glean the essence of that information, incorporate it in our daily lives, knowing the connection to the infinite potential of the Universe is a positive and unlimited Force…and so are we.
