Ayerveda For Everyday Life

November 14 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
$95

What if caring for yourself didn’t require changing everything?

Ayurveda is an ancient system of well-being rooted in something surprisingly practical: learning to notice what’s happening within us and discovering simple ways to respond.

During our time together, we’ll meet Ayurveda through the rhythms and qualities we already know in nature—and begin to see how those same qualities show up in us: the days we feel scattered, the times we’re running hot, or the moments when everything feels a little heavy. You’ll get to try simple Ayurvedic practices for yourself, and explore through your own senses what changes when you slow down enough to really taste and receive what’s here.

We’ll also gather around a warm bowl of kitchari, a traditional Ayurvedic meal. As we eat together, we’ll explore what’s in the bowl, why those ingredients are used, and some very simple ways a meal can be adjusted for different needs and constitutions.

No previous experience with Ayurveda is needed—and you certainly don’t need to be savvy in the kitchen. This isn’t about learning a complicated new system or leaving with another list of things you should be doing.
It’s an opportunity to experience Ayurveda in ordinary life: through food, your senses, daily rhythms, and simple practices—and perhaps even what you notice when you stick out your tongue tomorrow morning. You’ll also leave with a simple Attention Experiment: a chance to become curious about what comes in, what you reach for, and what you begin noticing when you give these ordinary moments a little more attention.

We’ll also sprinkle in some gentle movement breaks, since we’ll be spending some time sitting together on our yoga mats. Come as you are. Leave with a few simple ways to bring Ayurveda into your everyday life—and a new way of noticing what your body may be communicating.
Please arrive about 15 minutes early so you have time to settle in.
