ROC Metaphysical Book Review

Love Does Not Know Death By Adam Rizvi, MD

***Editor's Note:   I recently finished watching a show which follows the journey of a young woman facing terminal illness who still longed for romance, connection, and a fully lived life. The final moments, in which she accepts her death with dignity, was especially moving. A hospice nurse gently—and at times humorously—explains what happens to the body at the end of life, offering honesty wrapped in kindness and compassion.

Shortly after, I had the opportunity to interview Dr. Adam Rizvi, and the timing felt significant. Dr. Rizvi speaks candidly about what happens to us both physically and spiritually as we approach death. From his perspective as a critical care physician, he also shares the profound and often wondrous experiences he has witnessed while caring for patients transitioning beyond this life. His insights suggest that the medical community is beginning to view death and spirituality through a more expansive and compassionate lens.

I invite you to watch the video and see what resonates for you.

Love Does Not Know Death is a compassionate and profound exploration of mortality, drawn from the lived experience of Dr. Adam Rizvi, a critical care physician and neurologist. Blending moving stories from the ICU with spiritual teachings from A Course in Miracles, the book gently confronts fears of death and illness, revealing how forgiveness can transform grief, anxiety, and suffering into peace.

Dr. Rizvi reframes death not as an ending, but as an invitation to awakening—an opportunity to release the illusion of separation and rediscover the enduring nature of love.

Written for those facing illness, caregivers, spiritual seekers, and anyone grieving a loved one, the book offers both comfort and practical guidance. Through clear metaphysical insight and accessible forgiveness exercises, Dr. Rizvi shows how life’s most difficult moments can become gateways to healing, wholeness, and inner freedom.
