Set your intention to be happier as the year begins. A new mindset that allows for that is the gift you need to give yourself. 

Make this month the beginning of living your life without regrets. You might not be able to correct past mistakes but you can try not to add to them by learning from them. There are opportunities out there waiting for you to explore. Push the stressors aside and make room for the good stuff. Try a new activity. Learn something new. There are all kinds of opportunities for you in this new year, new month. Open as many new doors as possible.

Let’s break the new year down by seasons.

Winter is in the East: This is definitely a time to take charge. You must step into your personal power and share your wisdom. Find the courage to make decisions and to guide others to make decisions that are in their best interest. It may even be time to set down some rules or boundaries that give everyone a clear picture on how things are going to be moving forward.

New year ...new rules.

Spring in the South: This is a time to socialize and establish true relationships with likeminded people. Engage in activities that are fun and keep smiles on your faces. No more hidden away or making excuses why you can’t. As much as you might want to think it is true, humans are not solitary animals. We might not travel in packs but we need to connect with others to be able to be our best selves.

Summer in the West: Time for some expansion. Take a look at the areas of your life that have become stagnant. Remember you always have choices so look for the options. Your intuition is your best friend this summer. Learn to trust it and expand it as well. It will rarely lead you astray.

Fall in the North: be prepared for some major changes to be thrown at you. It will be your

responsibility to understand what impact these changes are supposed to have on your life. It may be overwhelming at first but if you focus on feeding what you want to grow it will all balance out for you. Solutions vibrate way higher than problems. Pay attention which you are feeding into.

Overall in the Center: This is meant to be the year of foundation building. Take from your past the solid materials that still have significance to you, add to them the things you want to create and carry forward. What is old becomes new and what is new becomes you.
