ROC Metaphysical Book Review

Editor's Note: Synchronicity is always working for me. Peter showed up on my Facebook feed showing that he was on Jonathan Goldman's radio show.  I know Peter from many years ago.  I was searching the web to look for someone to do a sound healing class.  I found Peter who lives in Woodstock which is only 4 hours away and invited him to Rochester, NY.  He said yes, he had friends and family here plus a student he was training in sound healing.  What a coincidence! Over that weekend he put on a wonderful sound bath years before becoming so popular. Plus he taught a great class using the sound of our name as a healing tool. 

Here we are many years later reconnecting. He has a wonderful background in hypnosis, counseling, NLP and shamanic sound healing.  He's very active with The National Guild of Hypnotists and we find we have mutual connections thru that group too. 

The book review and video is about his current book is about helping you to change your B.S. (it stands for Belief System), what a catchy title! With all his experience he put together his book to share stories of people that he's helped sharing wisdom his garnered thru the years. He's added a lot of humor to keep it fun and interesting.

Here's his bio:  For nearly four decades, Peter Blum has dedicated his work to two areas: neo-Ericksonian hypnosis and shamanic sound healing. His book TranceSonics—The Vital Link Between Sound Healing and Hypnosis (2018) showcases his groundbreaking work in both fields, exploring them individually and where they intersect.

Since 1993, Blum has been a Certified Instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH), training and certifying hundreds in the art of hypnosis. In 1995, after studying the world's major spiritual traditions extensively, Peter was ordained as an Interfaith Minister in the Foundation for the Living Earth seminary program. He considers hypnotherapy to be a spiritual art form. His peers have honored him, and his prestigious awards include being inducted into the Hypnosis Hall of Fame in 2021 and a Lifetime Achievements Award from the National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists in 2023.

Since 1999, he has released eight "Sounds for Healing" recordings. Most of these recordings showcase the remarkable sounds of the Himalayan Singing Bowls, either as solo performances or in collaboration with other mesmerizing instruments, occasionally accompanied by spoken healing meditations. Peter has performed "Sounds for Healing" concerts and hosted workshops at various prestigious venues, including The National Guild of Hypnotists, the International Hypnosis Federation, The Omega Institute, The Abode of the Message, Menla Retreat Center, and numerous yoga studios across the U.S., the Caribbean, Mexico, and Europe. In 2017, he had the honor of performing with his singing bowls at The United Nations in NYC.
